"Back to pinned URL" feature on pinned tabs
-
@barbudo2005 if Vivaldi was open source I might have done it myself.
For the Vivaldi UX team, it's an easy addition to Tabs Settings: "Middle click on tab returns to first page". Since middle click on tab doesn't do anything right now, it may as well default to
.
Hmm ... actually ... maybe it could be done via an Extension? I'll look into it in my copious spare time.

For a minimum of self-respect, stop talking nonsense.
There are more than 5000 request and climbing. All considered as you do of VERY EASY addition.
Because the users (more than 3,000,000) would like Vivaldi to accommodate the 3,000,000 different ways to navigate, and that's impossible.
The user must accommodate the tools and features that the browser provides, not the other way around.

I'm another user that would LOVE this feature.
It feels very idiomatically "Vivaldi" to at very least support a setting or add an option to a right-click menu that supports "back to pinned url".
There may be 3 million users, but they don't all have different ways to navigate. The request for more robust pinning support is currently the 25th most upvoted feature - so clearly a lot of those 3 million all want a very specific update to how they navigate.
In prioritization, it usually makes sense to take a thing that is high impact for low effort. In this case, I'd take the fact that it's the 25th most upvoted request as a sign of "high impact".
So if Vicodin is right, and it is low effort, then that's very important information. That could mean this feature is high impact, low effort. Whether it's higher impact or lower effort than the other 25, I trust the Vivaldi team to make that assessment.
But I think this issue at very least warrants a response from the team.
