Why does this Twitter alternative in your browser’s sidebar matter?

Twitter is a unsafe environment and has been since Musk bought it. It is full of right-wing misinformation.

@janrif If they are not peddling conspiracy theories, then they have nothing to fear from being present on Twitter.
If they were peddling in conspiracies then they'd be one of the most promoted accounts on Twitter.
The reason why particular thought leaders dislike sources like NPR is precisely because they are willing to call out the grifters that promote conspiracy theories and the culture wars under the guise of free speech.
Yes, after re-reading I now see what you meant.

@Pesala And I quote, "I heard that the advertisers who left were community noted for misleading statements in their ads." So you heard? Like like all the other Leftist rumors that can never be backed up with fact. "I heard" means you have no idea, but CNN will pick up your statement and Trump will get arrested again.
Jesus, right or left, we still drudging around talking about this useless crap? Musk did what new company owners typically do and looked for, and dumped the fat which was a lot. Too many soy boys walking around trying to figure out how to get offended the most in one day. I turned off politics a few years back. Best dam thing I've ever done. Leftists call us liars, we call them liars. Ok, so who's right?
And why did Biden steal my dam Workspaces? Where'd he take them? I bet they are in his garage. Now I remember why I came....
-
@smaciver No, Hillary took your workspaces, then hid them on Hunter’s laptop. And it’s all Trump’s fault. He promised you to “lock her up,” but never did because he’s soft. You should have seen this coming and prepped for the worst, for example by saving sessions ☛ https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tabs/session-management/.

tis amazing how much better threads like this look once i've blocked all the dribbling rwnjs.

Twitter's community was intensely negative long before Elon showed up. It's not negative when it's directed at people you don't agree with.
-
@smaciver “You are what you eat.”
Negative people see negativity everywhere, and help to create more of it. Of course, every Social Media platform attracts its fair share of trolls and haters. The Vivaldi Community is not a free speech platform, so moderators will remove inappropriate content.
Elon Musk bought Twitter to get rid of the overtly left-wing censorship. He is a free speech absolutist, but the platform has to abide by the laws of each country.
The transition of Twitter to X.com is the start of an expansion to something more like WeChat. There is a new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, managing the platform on a daily basis. It is now nine months since the Elon Musk Takeover
Content creators are very happy with the amount of money that they can make since the changes. Video content, and many other changes, prove that the platform is developing. Will it succeed? Most businesses that Elon gets involved in do. If the new CEO gets it right, the advertisers will come back, the spammers will have a hard time, and the haters will fade into obscurity.

You are absolutely right. I did jump the gun out of frustration when I searched for a resolution to my issue only to find out I had to navigate through mindless political pollution. Just for a fix for my browser.
I should have focused better or not say anything at all because in my frustration I clearly didn't understand the comment. That's my fault. I apologize @Pesala
However, as I think about it, this would make a great example for all the left leaners out there. Apologize, admit you were wrong, kiss Master President Trumps ring, and he just might forgive you.
I appreciate you calling me out on that, I deserved it.

@smaciver Twitter threatens to sue hate speech watchdog group
In a July 20 letter shared publicly Monday, Twitter threatened to sue the Center for Countering Digital Hate, accusing the group of a campaign to hurt Twitter by driving away its advertisers. The CCDH has published numerous reports about various social media companies’ approach to everything from vaccine misinformation to online racism and antisemitism.
Spiro (Musk's lawyer) alleged that CCDH has made “inflammatory, outrageous, and false or misleading assertions about Twitter and its operations” through its reports, which he argued lack scientific rigor.
To back up his claim, Spiro cited one report in which CCDH staff flagged tweets from 100 Twitter Blue subscribers to the platform as being harmful and found that after several days, the company had not taken action on the vast majority of it. The resulting CCDH report said Twitter had failed to act on “99% of Twitter Blue accounts tweeting hate.”
In other news, Trump has been indicted again, but I am sure that it had nothing to do with my statement.

Musk is all about free speech. The best way to get to the truth is through free speech. Which is why he needs to sue anyone that criticizes him.
One of the most common traits of contrarian thought leaders is a complete inability to deal with criticism. Which is why they continually try to con their followers into believing that they've been silenced. When in reality, they've been criticized, but can't deal with it. And will not hesitate to try and shut down their own critics. Sadly, this tactic works on their audience every time.

DELETE THAT PART OF YOUR POST.

@LocutusOfBorg It's pretty obvious sarcasm, but it does raise the hair on the back of one's neck.

And on a EXTREMELY HAPPY note the judge that will oversee Trump's multiple convictions was appointed by Obama and has sentenced dozens of Jan 6th MAGAt terrorist. I predict Trump will be given at lest 300 years out of the over 600 years all charges together carry.

i love the tight moderation here that is reliably removing all specious political commentary. tis perfect in a browser forum thread.

In your case it's spelled "COMPLETELY IGNORED".
