Ability for opening several links at once (like Linkclump)
-
There is Linkclump extension that opens several links at once. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/linkclump/lfpjkncokllnfokkgpkobnkbkmelfefj
I would like to see the same thing build-in in Vivaldi
When you hold Z button and left mouse button, you can drag cursor to select all links, after releasing LMB, these links will be opened in new tabs (would be best if all of them will be also grouped) -

If the extension works well and is reliable (Github), why should it be built-in?
All built-in, the 1000 extensions that Vivaldi users use must be built-in?
-
@barbudo2005 why it should not? Because @barbudo2005 doesn't want?

I'm intrigued, sounds useful.

To quote Vivaldi's own help page regarding extensions:
... Vivaldi aims to provide as much built-in functionality as possible ...
Yes, there will always be extensions providing features Vivaldi does not possess, this is well acknowledge by Team Vivaldi in that help page, but it it means I have to install one extension less, then I'm all for it being built-in.

I'm intrigued, which extensions do you have installed?

@notmalware This seems to be a duplicate of Download Multiple Selected Links to Folder, which has zero votes.
Vote for the existing request for a Links Panel, which already has over 100 upvotes.

Why duplicate tag? These 3 requests are different, i think. My is for comfortable opening several links at once, not about downloading files and not about viewing all the links on website.
Maybe i am wrong? -
@notmalware It would accomplish the same aim. Select multiple links from the panel and right click to open them or download the linked files. Since the Links Panel has over 100 votes already, and kills at least two birds with one stone, it makes sense to implement that.
Download Opera 12.18 if you want to see how the Links Panel works. It will list all links on a page, and makes it easy to select them with Ctrl+Click, Ctrl+Shift+Click.
Marquee select on the web page itself may select a number of links that you do not want to download.

I used this extension for years, but it's not working with vivaldi. Did it work well for you ?

@Antenore
Hi, I make a quick test and it work for me with Vivaldi 6.1.3035.302.
I have to disable Single Key Shortcuts:The shortcut Z used by Linkclump is the back in history shortcut in Vivaldi.
Cheers, mib
