pinned tabs don't stay in their workspace after restart
-
I have several tabs pinned in different workspaces. Whenever I close and reopen Vivaldi, they all end up in the "general/main" workspace and I have to move them one by one again.
Is that a bug or am I doing anything wrong?
Thanks,
Daniel6.0.2979.18 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)

@dahaniel How do you close Vivaldi? Have you several Windows? The you should close Vivaldi by Vivaldi menu → Exit.
Do you start with Last Session? Check Settings → General → Startup with → Last Session
And try upgrade to 6.0.2979.22.

Hi, there was some updates for Vivaldi 6.0:
https://vivaldi.com/blog/desktop/minor-update-three-6-0/
I cant reproduce it with the latest build in a clean profile.
Some user report not pinned tabs are moving to main after restart, this is under investigation.
Hard to fix because nobody from the tester/developer team could reproduce this constantly.Cheers, mib

Thanks for the feedback.
I updated to 6.0.2979.22 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit) which didn't make a difference. If I start with last session it seems to work, but actually I would like to only have the pinned tabs persisting a restart, that's what I actually use pinned tabs for.
I did not try a clean profile yet

The developer work on more features for workspaces, one of the most asked was workspaces survive without the last session setting.
At moment you have to use this setting.
Keep an eye on the change logs of the next snapshot (Beta) builds:https://vivaldi.com/blog/desktop/
Cheers, mib

I am using Vivaldi 6.0.2979.22 (Stable channel) (64-bit) on Windows 10 and the pinned tabs do not stay in Workspaces upon restarting the browser. Any way to track this bug/feature in upcoming releases?
To clarify, there are no pinned tabs even in the main window upon restart.

I just double re-read the above thread,, that answers it.
