RSS feed sucks
-
The thing you call RSS in vivaldi is complete trash. How can RSS feed not show an entire article? Why would you even implement the RSS feature if you wasn't going to make it work properly? Also, why would you even consider adding RSS to Mail? Why do I see it there? RSS is RSS and Mail is Mail. Do not make a mess there, where you can avoid making it.

@lexx1383 Have you tried some different feeds by any chance? Some of mine do in fact show the whole article, while others don't. It's a function of the feed provider in my experience. I've seen the same thing happen in other feed readers too.

@SirNameless I tried CNN, BBC, and rutracker.org RSS feeds. None of them show articles - only article's names. And also, other rss feed readers show whole articles, but not Vivaldi's

Try subscribing to Vivaldi Browser feed and note the articles are not shown as summaries but nor do they fully reflect the website articles — as @SirNameless mentioned earlier, what appears is dictated by the RSS feed content.

Yes RSS definitely needs work. The article display is poor. I also take issue with RSS unread counts also appearing on the mail badge. Doesn’t make sense.
-
@benroach it does make sense if you like read your feeds together with your mail, like I do. Uncheck the blue feed icon above the message list to hide all feeds from the corresponding view.
As far as I know the amount of content a feed message item shows is controlled by the specific feed you subscribe to. To illustrate here is an example where the entire quite long article is downloaded https://feeds.feedburner.com/planio it will give you quite long articles.
Many feed sources only give you teasers in the feed and want you to visit their site to view the full article, because that's where they place their ads to generate their revenue

Thunderbird and the Feedly(?) extension for Chrome/Edge have options to show the full article of an RSS feed, so it can be done. It's just not in Vivaldi.
