@g_bartsch
Hm, work for me, I am on News and can hibernate the Pay workspace. -
@g_bartsch: Do you have non-hibernated tabs in this workspace? The context menu item should be hidden if all the tabs are hibernated.
-

Thank you (and @mib2berlin); that indeed was the case. Tabs were hibernated in the Workspaces that had no option to hibernate.

I really wish each Workspace could have it's own profile like in Arc. It's such a great feature.
-
This is by far my favorite update of all time, I am a linux (fedora) user and it works liike a charm. Thaks a lot for your work ! (Keep up the great work. you are in this moment the best browser out there)

@TbGbe 23 posts in 14 days - all of them about the same thing. Seems rather strange
-
@jaunny Well, most likely a newcomer who thinks they have a useful idea and wants to be sure it's noticed.
Also, most likely, not a native English speaker who thought their "local language" forum would just be ignored.
Unfortunately, they don't realise that one thread is enough on these forums (unlike some other forums/platforms that they may be more familiar with).
-
@jaunny It's because workspaces are a brilliant concept and working 100% without backups would be great.
-
@g_bartsch What do you think about the idea of using workspaces for a separate window. I.e. each window is a separate workspace. The peculiarity is that they can be pined or not pined.
I posted a large screenshot on page 3, completed in Photoshop, with this idea. -

Thank you; I am, and love Workspaces! They are wonderful.
-
@KoreshS You don't understand. My idea has a general look in pinned workspaces. But my idea differs in that in the screenshot you have the loose windows combined into one workspace in the first position. I suggest showing the loose windows in the list as separate elements of the list in several positions. Try opening several windows. If several windows are not saved as workspace, then they are all in the first item. Check it out. But in your screenshot there are just 4 tabs. which is not a revision of the developers.

This is basically using multiple windows, and opening tabs on each of them. All browsers can do it from the beginning.
I don’t really understand what is your idea, exactly (perhaps because English is not my native language).
Or do you suggest that each window should have its own list of workspaces?

I'm sorry, I tried to read and understand your idea but wasn't able to. It may be a good idea but I haven't been able to grasp it yet.
-
@g_bartsch Let's look at the list of workspaces carefully. We will see that in this list there is a gray line separating the list. My idea concerns what is above this line. In the current state above the line there is an element containing tabs of the current window of the not saved workspace. I suggest that not one element is displayed above the line, but all the elements of unsaved windows in the workspaces. That's what I showed in the screenshot. Look at him carefully.

This is what sessions do already.
-
@sjudenim You say it's in sessions, it doesn't matter. Here we are discussing the convenience of working with spaces and windows. If there is something in common with sessions, then so be it.
@trit34I believe that the current implementation is incomplete to the end. It is for this reason that it will be difficult for beginners and people unfamiliar with PCs to understand the idea of workspaces. My idea makes a simpler understanding of workspaces and makes a complete idea of workspaces. I want to note that I think this is a very important question, and I am sure that this is a very very important idea, and therefore it is necessary to create a test version with my idea so that it is clear that this is a very important revision.
I really don't know English well. I'm translating text Yandex translator in English, and then I translate English Google translator back. Checking the translation. And conditionally I think that the translation was correct. But I ask all developers to get into my idea. And I urge that this is a very important revision.

KoreshS I may be considered a "beginner" compared to many of the people who post here on this forum, and I find everything about Workspaces very easy to understand just as they are. If I understand what you are suggesting, and speaking just for myself, I don't think having "unsaved windows" appearing as workspaces would be helpful to me in the way I use them. Just me, though.
But I would find the ability to delete multiple workspaces at one time helpful (cntrl/click/del?)
One at a time PLUS that annoying confirmation pop-up is so tedious
