Started using Vivaldi Snapshot on Arch Linux today as chromium does not have picture in picture support and i only have one screen, and Firefox does not work that well on this HP Skylake computer on Arch Linux with Ikes Vivaldi snapshot packages, i blame the boyfriend

but so far it does all i want

@bittin Not all videos can be detected for Vivaldi'S Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and some websites forbid to play as PiP.

I use this bookmark to enable PiP on a page.

@killchain: Also having same issue with downloads on this snapshot too, almost everything I try downloading is stuck on last byte, even leaving it for 30+ minutes doesn't let it finish.

Mostly been downloading things from github... and now I just checked to try and get a link from there which is broken and they're all working now, even copying a link that was broken earlier seems to let it download fine now, weird.

When it does happen I can usually copy the link across to Edge and it downloads without issue there, so not sure if it's AV related, or maybe Edge handles AV different, who knows.

While I have no use for Workspaces on my personal PC, on my work one it's a lifesaver.

I meanly use the browser in a vertical screen, so tab space is especially limited and work related pinned tabs started to utilize almost half my screen.

Now I have four nice workspaces and the clutter is gone, thank you.

Your images are huge and you post the same ones over and over again, they are just screenshots of Vivaldi. Again, please stop with this.

@Aaron @DoctorG i did mean in the plain chromium: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/chromium/ for Arch Linux works fine with Vivaldi snapshot: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vivaldi-snapshot

@stk25 unlikely to be any AV interference, there are similar downloader issues on Linux as well.
In general, after a restart the first download action is (mostly?) fine.

In the past, the download also could failed to start at all, not sure where the current state of issues is on stabe and/or snapshot.

I am getting a crash (have the dmp files) each time I try to open a private window. Tried clearing user data and disabling extensions, but it didn't really do much, still crashing. I'm on Win 11. The crash is a typical access violation error.

Hi, there is a confirmed bug report about with crash logs:
VB-96324 Crash upon opening new private window
I can open private windows ten times without crash but i hope they can fix this for all user.

I'm running both Whatsapp and Telegram in the web panel. They felt sluggish when trying to type in the the text boxes. My environment is Mac Ventura (M1).

That is not the right conclusion to draw from the lack of action on one of over 5,000 feature requests.

@wicketr: This is what I'm looking for as well. Workspaces auto update closed, opened tabs on like a 5 sec interval or on close. Where we can quickly resume just the session that we wanted from the start page or workspaces section. Each workspace grabs a snapshot that can be resumed.

@ruarí recommendation is to implement some system to reorganize the workspaces (preferably by dragging them in the windows panel or in the tab stack drop down)

Are there any plans to add this to sync? I might be in the minority of users who'd like my open tabs (and workspaces) to follow me around (work<>home).
