Make Tabs' Exit Icon Non-Hidden on Default
-
I often close tabs accidentally in Vivaldi.
I mean that 'on hover' should not be the pick for tab identity: tabs are picked through and it is easy to click on the tab and have Vivaldi close it.
Vivaldi neither identifies which features are used. It has no format where it collects this information in a small file from all users. Vivaldi can create an incrementing file on how many times a 'feature' is used. Just incrementing the file gives a directional indicator on if Vivaldi is used as its creators are thinking. The incrementing file can be submitted procedurally if Vivaldi plans that flow.

@benw93 Your feature request is introducing the collection of usage data? Good luck with that one… The rest I don’t understand.

@benw93 There are several options for the Close Tab button. One can also disable it completely, and use double-click or middle-click to close tabs.
See Settings, Tabs, Tab Options.
There has to be a strong reason for changing defaults, because changes will inevitably annoy existing users.
Collecting user data is a no no for Vivaldi, though they do run surveys from time to time to see which features users like.
