Why hasn't Vivaldi implemented Chrome's new memory saving mode?

Hi
Why hasn't Vivaldi implemented Chrome's new memory saving mode?I find it strange that this new option has not been implemented.
thanks

Ok,
You have to enable it atchrome://flags
or at least check atchrome://settings
if it's enabled by default in your version.https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/12929150

@ramonjosegn In Vivaldi there is a function: "Put background tabs into sleep mode". This also saves CPU consumption.
-
@Zalex108 I am testing, thanks.
Do you think they will implement it in the next stable version without the need to activate the flags?
-
I don't know.
When tested enough they may add it into the default V Settings. For the moment not every setting is mirrored so,
chrome://flags
&chrome://settings
has to be checked frequently. -

Hi @manu33
You need open
vivaldi://flags
and enabled the flag
"Enable the HIGH EFFICENCY mode feature in the settings"
put "Enabled with Default"Restart Vivaldi
Open in a tab this URL
chrome://settings
(NOT VIVALDI://SETTINGS)Now you can enabled

Hi,
We will leave this Topic for the Chrome Performance optimizations and continue about the rendering problem here to keep an order.https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/84106/blank-pages-with-rendered-parts-with-more-than-20-open-tabs/
We will move some posts to there too.
Thanks

There's no such thing in my browser (Vivaldi 5.7.2921.63 (Stable channel) (64-bit) as you can see:
Thanks for trying to help, but I think I'll go for a more user friendly browser. Cheers, guys!

So so much longs texts in search, it searches only words. Type
efficiency
and you will get it!
Or open chrome://flags/#high-efficiency-mode-availablebut I think I'll go for a more user friendly browser
Farewell.

@ramonjosegn Still waiting for this to happen for browser to become better at handling tabs and ram management.

Hi, simply activate it as @DoctorG mention and open chrome://settings/performance:The developer add more to the Vivaldi settings over time but this is a long process with low priority as you can reach all settings with ease from chrome://settings.
Other Chromium browser simply change it to edge:// brave:// but use the Chromium UI.Cheers, mib

I can't find "high-efficiency-mode".
So is the part with vivaldi://flags not necessary anymore or what's up?I can find chrome://settings/performance just fine though.
How long does it take for the memory saver to kick in? As there is no option to set a time. "Learn more" doesn't really tell much.
How does it work exactly, is is the same as hibernate tabs?
What's the startup behavior like? Does this prevent inactive tabs from reloading on startup?
