How about a Mouse Gesture for tab stacking?

Any news on this? I'm still waiting for a mouse gesture for the ''Stack Tabs by Host'' command, come on guys this shouldn't be hard to implement?

Thanks, but I really don't have a clue what you mean. I installed Otto Tabs but it doesn't seem to do anything, is this spyware or what?

No, it is not. The author was a user of the Forum.

OK I see, so it doesn't work out of the box anymore, and other people also had trouble with it, so no thanks.
But this is why I'm a bit disappointed with Vivaldi's developer team, it takes them months to implement a simple request. I use this command all of the time, so a mouse gesture would be really nice. And perhaps they can even implement some of the features of Otto Tabs, since apparently the API's are already there.

Yes, because the string extData was renamed by Vivaldi for vivExtData. A situation that happens quite often.
and other people also had trouble with it, so no thanks.
Of course all the people using Otto tabs had the same problem, what do you expect?

Well, it's not meant like this. But you have to look at it from my point of view. You recommend Otto Tabs, which literally seems to do nothing.
Also, I don't always want to stack tabs, so an auto-stacking feature isn't what I'm looking for. A mouse gesture makes the most sense.

Now that I think of it, I just noticed that there is a mouse gesture for tab stacking, but not for tab stacking by host, please add this or at least a button on the toolbar editor!
Guys, can you all upvote this request? I was told that the more it's upvoted, the bigger the chance that Vivaldi's team will add this feature. Thanks in advance.

I can't believe it, but I see that there now is indeed a mouse gesture option for Stack Tabs by Hosts in Vivaldi 6.5, which is cool, but it doesn't seem to work, can anyone confirm? So if I perform the mouse gesture, then I do get to see it in the statusbar, so it's recognized but nothing actually happens.

Once again, I can't believe it. It seems that there is now a Stack Tabs by Hosts mouse gesture in Viv 6.6, this time for real, because it wasn't actually available in Viv 6.5, but it does not stack ALL tabs, it only stacks the active website. Can anyone update my VB-102766 bug report?

I only see "group tabs" but I also want to group them by host.
I just want group tabs by host just like when I right-click a tab and select it but as a mouse gesture... -

In Viv 6.6 you should now see the Stack Tabs By Hosts command. But it doesn't actually stacks ALL tabs by host, like it's supposed to. It only stacks the active website, so it's a bug. Very annoying that developers couldn't spot these bugs themselves, I mean where's quality control?

When I go to Settings->Mouse->Gesture Mapping->Click on the "+" -> There is no option to be found that says "Stack Tabs by Host".
The only option that's there is: "Stack Tabs" and it stacks all unstacked tabs into one stack.

That might be what the mouse gestures is pulling into the list.

My apologies to both of you, I thought I had removed this command chain, but I didn't. Which means that the Vivaldi developers didn't bother to add this command to the mouse gestures.

Can you perhaps bring this to the developers attention, there still is no mouse gesture for Stacking Tabs by Host, it's getting a bit silly. This is the bug report: VB-102766
