Feature request: Offer to auto-generate toot when a post or page is published (on by default). or updated (off by default).
-
A blog extension proposing to auto-create Mastodon toot, when posting a new entry (or optionally when editing it)
Proposed initial content: Headline, lead paragraph, #hashtags, and link to post/page.
For bonus/complexity points, structure of initial content is user configurable.
This toot can of course be edited by hand before publishing.
Example toot: https://social.vivaldi.net/@jaxroam/109369378820050591

You seem to use an old theme on your blog. If you switch to a new theme in Appearance > Themes (not reversible, so use Live Preview before activating a new theme), you'll find a share menu below each published post with Mastodon being one of the options. That'll speed up sharing your blog posts on Vivaldi Social.

@jane-n Thanks for the information. That is nice. Though it is not exactly the same, or so I assume, as I can't get it to work.
Sharing to Mastodon leads to an unending loop of dialog boxes, whatever button or input I choose.
Sharing to Twitter on the other hand works beautifully (though not completely according to above feature request).

@jaxroam Seems you've found a bug with our Classic theme. I'll let you know when I have a fix!

@jaxroam This should work better now
