Full distinction in design
-
When I use chromium-based web browsers, I typically see some Google Design. Though the browser's overall UI looks different, its settings look different, and its icons look different like in Vivaldi, Brave, and Opera, they still have some hidden Google design.
One example can be, when I click on the security lock on a website in Vivaldi, settings appear and its design looks the same as found on Google Chrome. Is it because Vivaldi uses Google Security Services and so they have to comply with Google's standards? Or is it a forgotten occurrence we can change to match the style of the Vivaldi web browser? Try it yourself by pressing the security lock in the address bar.
Another example can be found when the average user prints something in Vivaldi. Google remains are continued to be seen. Try it yourself by printing a document, article, or any webpage.
Vivaldi is a very beautiful and unique browser and I hope we can make the web browser more distinct from other web browsers, especially in design instead of making the impression to users that Vivaldi is a rip-off or twin of Google, though Vivaldi is mind-blowing with its mail client, calendar, customization etc., but I'm just discussing about its design. Google Chrome's UI seems to still be in Vivaldi and so I am not sure if it is possible to change or not but if it is, it is something to consider for future updates. : )

@ShriviShine Vivaldi's interface is built as an additional layer on top of the Chromium code that is used to render pages. (This also has a small effect on performance).
Some parts of Chromium remain, e.g. if you go to
chrome://settings/content/zoomLevels
it will show the Chromium page, but display the redirect URL in the address bar. This option is not yet available in the Settings dialog.
