Quick fix for broken native window controls – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2865.3
-
@Aaron There is also a vote going on how I signify the newly updated build(s). So far I think people are less keen on my 'cute' idea.
-
@Ruarí Maybe add a and link to the rel.notes - but I'm not sure if that would work with the char limit and links posting in Mastodon generally.

Quick fix for broken native window controls – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2865.3

Well, it's here!
-
Another wrong deletion bug:
- Type into address bar address of website, which have tile at your speed dial.
- Select part of URL and press Shift+Del.
- Not only part of URL is deleted, but whole tile from speed dial.
-
@Ruarí For myself, I'm actually not used skillfully at using Mastodon
-
@Pathduck It wouldn't for the reason you identify but the account itself links to this blog FWIW, "Click account name -> click link to blog -> click most recent post" and you have the changelog.
I don't really want to reimplement everything we have here a second time and then some people comment on Mastodon and some here. That is just messy. So even if I could do it I would not. This is really just supposed to be a simple notifier. You get notified… you head to the blog if you want to know more .

You want us to actually think - and on our own!?
Das Crazy! -
Getting white context menus still, on fedora linux 37 cinnamon with this latest build and the last build
-
@lemonzest: same here debian 11, E24
-
@pathduck: I did just add this idea
https://mastodon.social/@Cqoicebordel/109422184903783379
So next time the bot posts you can see the previous build number and the new one will be marked with .
But after this I don't see myself adding much more. If people want more they can make their own rival bot!

I mentioned this in the previous snapshot thread (here), and asked if there was any setting to change it.
Others confirmed it was happening to them, but no suggestions as how to fix.
I'll report it as a bug
-
It would be perfect if VIVALDI had the same theme as OPERA GX with its very nice interface and sound coming out when you type something in the browser.
-
From previous snapshot fixed:
"[Window Management] Drop shadow on windows missing (VB-93055)"
Nope. Still missing windows shadows, therefore windows are without borders and indistinguishable on white background.
How are you doing testing?
For real, we are going to wait until v5.6 to get this fixed.
-
Hum... updated to this snapshot (settings are colorful now) and now the menus are all white (on Linux at least, I use black themes).
-
@enc0re
Hi, the bug report mentioned in the change log was for Windows 11. I cant see which version of Windows you use from your screen shots.
The Windows 10 bug is VB-90397.Cheers, mib

@panino: That Vivaldi Social webpanel is using a lot of CPU all the time. How do I stop, kill or remove it? Maybe I'll downgrade.
-
@Panino Right-click on the Panel Toolbar, Edit, Remove from Toolbar.
-
Moving tiles onto each other or into folders seems to be broken on SD.
