Tab to search in URL bar
-
I loved in Chrome I could just type yout (for YouTube, for example), and automatically would understand it was for youtube.com, and pressing Tab I could then type my YouTube research directly in the address bar.
Is there such a function in Vivaldi that I'm not able to activate, or it is just not integrated (hopefully soon!) in the current release? Thanks!

@mmmmm0fffffffff Hello and Welcome to the Vivaldi Community
Please see:
https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/search/
Specifically under "Add a New Search Engine"YouTube is not one of the default search engines, but easy to add.
The keyword "y" is taken by Yahoo, but just remove that or change it, then you can use "y" for YT.
(who uses Yahoo search anyway)
Much better to just type
y<space>searchstring
.And I seriously dislike how Chrome adds search engines automatically from every visited site - Vivaldi gives you more control

Veeery nice, I agree, I like the control of it - overtime I'll add the ones I use the most.
Thanks anyway!

Have a look here for a ton of search engines to add:
