Why does Vivaldi use so much RAM and hard disk space?
-
I had to re-install Vivaldi as a clean installation last April, because the browser had become unusuable. Vivaldi took so much RAM that it crashed.
At that time, I could not retrieve all my data back in Vivaldi.
Now, after having expanded the RAM to 16 GB, I can run Vivaldi.
Yet, there must be some bug in your code, as Vivaldi now takes more than 2GB (!) space on the hard disk and about that amount is also reserved for the application when Windows is started.
Why does Vivaldi include jpeg files into tne bookmark file?

@Liike
Hi, it´s maybe time to clear your cache, my Vivaldi install use 900MB HDD space and 500MB RAM.Every tab, extension and web panel use RAM, check the internal task manager which one use much memory.
You can reach it from the tools menu or with Shift+Esc.Cheers, mib

@Liike Unfortunately that's pretty much the same with all the Chromium base browser these days, the more you use 'em the more resources they hog overtime. So, maybe you should bark at Google's tree too... LOL
I doubt Vivaldi team can do much about it either, because Google is ruining the Internet with Chromium project just like Microsoft did with IE6 back in the 90's. Implementing more & more data mining "feature", less & lesser useful feature for the user, that's pretty much the trend how they developing the Internet these days. 2023 will be even worst when Google going to attempt brick all the privacy protection feature & horde all the data they can scope up from your Chromium base browser live with Manifest V3.
