After the last update, my pinned tabs are blank
-
As seen above, my pinned tabs have been erased. Is there any way to retrieve them? I pinned them so I would not lose them.

@Plavec77 You bookmark or you save your tabs as session for safekeeping. Pinning a tab doesn’t guarantee anything. Check your history and your list of closed tabs to retrieve them.

Thanks, it has never been a problem until this last update, these are just tabs I temporarily need not something I want to keep long term, I have alternative solutions for that. I have never tried sessions, so I will give that a shot. Thanks.

@Plavec77 Hm. Cannot reproduce this. All of my pinned tabs on all instances on all machines simply stay. This "Blank Page" thing is totally new to me.
Do you use extensions?
-
@Ayespy Hi, I don't have any extensions on my browser that are new. All extensions I have had pre-update and not had an issue with pinned tabs. I logged off last night with my pinned tabs and was notified there was an update this morning, opened my Vivaldi Persona 2 and all pinned tabs were blank.
Thank you for investigating, I will try as luetage recommends and not use my pinned tabs as sessions/bookmarks for valuable information moving forward.

"New" is irrelevant. Chromium and hence Vivaldi are moving targets, so an extension that was fine yesterday may cause fatal problems today. Worse, disabling extensions does not always disable them. They keep background processes running that still gum up the works. It is impossible for the browser to account for all of the changes that tens of thousands of extensions impose, with each update.
To know if extensions (even old, "reliable" ones have an effect, it is necessary to run a clean (guest or temporary) profile for comparison. I don't use extensions, so users report hundreds and hundreds of problems that I cannot reproduce.
