Source code wrap text
-
I used to have the code in the source code of websites, "wrapped" by default. But since last update, I need to click "wrap text" to see the full code on one glance (And that's sad, because Vivaldi was the only browser that had the source code like that, and the reason I loved it). This takes too much time when I have to do the same thing with 200 websites in one hour. It would be nice having the option to have the text wrap it by default or not in the source code.
Also it would be nice that the check box follow you around the screen. Because to use it you need to forcibly go at the start of the screen to check/uncheck the box and that makes you lose a lot of time too.
So, can you add those two things please?

@publioescipion I don’t know, but I reckon that’s just chromium code and Vivaldi hasn’t changed anything consciously.

I reported a bug because even with line-wrap enabled there is still a horizontal scrollbar. It is probably a bug in Chromium, not Vivaldi, but maybe the Vivaldi developers can do something to fix it, and wrap text by default.
(VB-84876) Line-wrap in Source code is Disabled by Default
-
@pesala Not implemented in current Chromium 96 core to remember such setting ⇒ not a bug but a missing feature.
I changed your bug report internally to Feature Request. -
@doctorg Not only is line-wrap disabled by default, the horizontal scroll bar is still displayed if line-wrap is enabled, and long lines are not fully visible without scrolling.
Line-wrap needs to be enabled every time the source code is inspected. Vivaldi should remember the setting, and should not need any horizontal scrollbar.

Yes, that is a Vivaldi issue. Please report to bug tracker!

@doctorg I reported it in the bug listed above. Does it really need another bug report?
