TouchPad Gestures
-
We need touchpad gestures , every broswer has it.

pinch to zoom should be working (at least it is for me, I had to disable it with
--disable-pinch
), but I agree that also two-finger side scrolling (to go back/forward in the browsing history), three finger gestures (to move in between tabs), and possibly even more or configurable settings make a lot of sense.There are already a Feature Request for history navigation, but I understand that your request is broader.

libinput-gestures
on linux systems I can switch in between tabs with 3-finger gestures, and I'm sure that there is equivalent software that supports multi-touch touchpads for both windows and macos). Having this integrated in vivaldi would certainly be great, but I believe that 3+ finger gestures may be overloaded on many systems with different tasks (often times by the desktop environment), which is why I assume that only 2 finger gestures could relatively reliably be configured, if at all.// see this solution for windows 3 finger gestures: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/29550/touch-and-touchpad-swipes-to-go-forward-and-back/6

@wildente Interesting find.
I've assigned my pinch gesture on the touchpad to some other functionality (as mentioned above, I deliberately disable pinch-zoom when starting vivaldi), but it would be interesting if there was some way to decouple this from touchscreen pinching. I guess that one can only have neither or both .
Concerning the thread: @mutaman, what exactly to you wish for? I don't know what every (other) browser has.
