Import/export calendars through ics files
-
Being able to import/export calendars through ics files would be great.
On a few occasions, I have to download ics files, and as it is, there is no way of importing these.
Ideally, you should be able to import the ics file into one of your existing calendars, or as a brand new calendar.

@altcode You mean in the client? Importing is possible in the webmail interface already.
-
@luetage Yeah, this feature request is specifically for the built-in client. I'm aware you can already do this through the webmail interface.

@altcode Importing and exporting of calendars using .ics files is already supported. There is a "Import Calendar" option under File menu where you can import .ics file(s) into existing or new calendars. Having this as a separate menu entry is not the most intuitive and there is some work being done in preparation of a more central place for all importing that the browser can do, so improvements might be coming in small steps in coming releases.
Export of calendar data is also possible, but that is done via Calendar section of Settings. Select the calendar you wish to export and there should be a "Export Calendar" button.
Hope this helps. Thanks for trying out Vivaldi Calendar and taking the time to file a request.

@eggert Oh, hadn't noticed it in the file menu. Thanks! If it were somewhere within
vivaldi://calendar
, I think it would be more discoverable. -
@eggert Well that’s great. I hadn’t looked into it for a while, but apparently importing an ics webcalendar syncs now. Moreover calendar colors defined in the webmail interface sync automatically to the Vivaldi client too now
