Password Import flag gone in Chromium 93
-
I just found out the
chrome://flags/#PasswordImport
is gone as of Chromium 93.
This will make it impossible to import from CSV once 4.2 is outOnly workaround for now is to enable the flag "Temporarily unexpire M92 flags". But these will be removed permanently soon.
Grrr, I can just imagine the Chromium muppets going "Our statistics show only 1.2 percent of users ever use password import, so no need to keep maintaining the code, let's just remove it for good."
Please Vivaldi devs, you need to implement your own Import/Export functionality as soon as possible

@guigirl In fairness, I think there was a time when Google made good quality stuff. Google Search seems to have been the best search-engine there was in it's day. But instead of sticking to what they did well (search), Google released a bunch of low-quality products. Not to motion the spying and political stuff. That's where Google went wrong!

Absolutely! Please, Vivaldi devs?

I think this to be done all in one place: Export/Import for User Settings.
However, I suppose that users want to import data from other browsers too? Isn't that already covered by Import from Applications or Files?

Time to switch to a proper third party solution everyone

@pathduck

@bbaker6212 Seems they took it back. Some chromium builds ago went behind an experiment to suppress soon
