Solved Unfetchable email message makes account unusable with prefetching enabled
-
So 5.3 indeed claims to have fixed this and it seems to me it has.
However, when I re-enable prefetching, I do not get any message in the status bar (previously it would be saying something like "prefetching mail"). I found that message very helpful, as it makes one of my CPUs (out of 16) go at 100 % so the fan on my laptop spins like crazy. When that happens, unless I set the computer for some computations, I usually investigate as it is quite annoying. With the message in Vivaldi about prefetching, I would have previously known that is the culprit and I would let it do its work. Can other confirms it is gone? Do you remember that message being there?

I've been getting this error (similar but not exactly the same, there's no "unexpected \x00 at position" but they may have changed the message):

This happened to me for uids 17066 and 194. Turns out both had 2 labels in Gmail at the same time. When I removed one of the labels on the first email, error with 17066 disappeared and error with 194 started showing up, and when I removed one of the labels on a different email, the error changed to a general "Socket timed out!" error.
It seems like the messages got fetched. At least I think so, but not sure because I'm now stuck with a general "Socket timed out!" error and the downloading stopped so I can't confirm with more cases (I still have plenty more emails with multiple labels). It makes sense because Vivaldi uses folders instead of labels, meaning one email can't be in 2 folders at once.
