Keyboard Shortcut Auto Wallpaper?
-
Hello I would love to see a feature where you have something like the template you had before for the keyboard shortcuts, used for a wallpaper. I saw it on Reddit I think and I tried to download it in your press kit, but it wasn't their and I would love to make better use of it.
I would love to be able have my keyboard shortcuts automatically exported and updated into my desktop wallpaper, so I can well use a shortcut to just access the desktop, instead of taking up space in Vivaldi, for keyboard shortcuts!
Keyboard shortcuts are one of your biggest arguments imo, as they save people on average about 8 days per year or 30 mins a day! So I think this feature is really needed and it's not something that would take a lot of effort, although I don't do programming things, so take that with a grain of salt.
And if this is already possible somehow please let me know!

@alpharabbit7000 Have you discovered the Cheat Sheet yet? (Ctrl+F1).
You could take a screenshot of each page and stitch them together, but it would have to be updated every time you modified a shortcut.

@pesala Interesting thanks! I actually already did up a diagram with setapp before hand though. Can I post that file on here so people can use it and alter it for themselves if they want to?
I thought about the whole keyboard cheat sheet thing, but the issue their is I didn't have the brain power at the time to think about how to stitch it together, although I still think an option to have it as an auto export thing would be pretty nice!

@alpharabbit7000 I used FastStone Capture to take a screen shot for each section, then I used IrfanView to resize the canvas for each section to the same height, and created a horizontal panorama from the four sections. Vivaldi's screen capture is not up to the task. No doubt Mac OS also has some screenshot tools.
You can attach images as I have done, but since everyone will likely have different custom shortcuts it is of limited practical use. It just illustrates what is possible.
In my opinion, this feature is very unlikely to get implemented; the cheat sheet is good enough for most users. Having to hide Vivaldi to see the shortcuts is less useful than showing the shortcuts on screen in Vivaldi.
