Highlighter

Searched HELP. Is there such an option in Vivaldi or do I have to find extension which I really don't want to do? Thanks,

Not sure what you want to accomplish ... I assume if there is a web page, you want to kind of take the digital equivalent of a text marker and highlight portions of that text? If so, what is the purpose of such a function on a webpage? Next time you load the page all your highlights would be gone.
In the screenshot tool I sometimes wish there were some basic editing tools to highlight, underline etc. kind of like the snip and sketch tool in Windows. But since that exists, not a real prio.

nope, not in Vivaldi. you can use the notes feature to take notes though, it will take a screenshot and highlight the text you marked in the screenshot.

@janrifkinson In recent Snapshots there is a Link to Highlight Feature.
On my Blog I have used this feature to add some headings with links to text further down the page. Click the links to navigate to the highlighted text.

@Pesala makes me wonder if it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if the link used for Vivaldi's notes would be highlighter links instead of just the link to the page.... worthwhile feature request? Bug report? Is just stating this thought here enough?

Yes, that would be worth adding.
