@hlehyaric I tried to resist, but what could i do, given that https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/415913 and https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/415915 ?

Please man, don't scare us in the middle of the night!
Heehee. That said... OMZ, your characterisation of
that other place
sounds pretty ghastly. I have no reason to disbelieve you, even though it's lazy of me not to check it out myself, because in my mind's eye what you wrote seems a logical extrapolation of how depressingly pointless it had become all those years back when i left it [or more accurately, for a looooong time even before i gave up & exited].
I am definitely not going to become one of the sometimes whiners in our V forum mindlessly whingeing about the lack of Snapshot, as simple commonsense & historical awareness makes it easy to grasp that this current delay can only mean one thing - the poor Devs are having a rotten time fighting with some new chromia diabolica. That said, i am surprised at my psychological reaction now & for the past day -- i've never had a substance-abuse problem thus never experienced any cold-turkey withdrawal symptoms, but in a small way this now feels to me a bit like i imagine that might feel like. It's quite discombobulating & distracting [i actually feel physically fidgety & have trouble concentrating on other stuff], & i really don't like it. Ha, i need to reconsider my life choices...

@hlehyaric I know what you 've meant from the very beginning, now and before, and I applauded and augmented that /added: but if you don't believe me, I will not stop @Steffie from crucifying you (I'm reading that right now )
-
@Steffie You can believe him. I completely endorse what he wrote.
That other place
is as depressing as described, though sometimes they are accidentally fun, but it's really inadvertently & un-deliberately… -
@npro I was only appalled that you might think I was…kind of interested by this other place… But I do believe you. So, please stop the Australian devil.

Oh, you're reading the Brian scripts atm? Beautiful, onya!

-
@Steffie Please someone, remind me what this thread is about. MP or HHGTTG?
-
@hlehyaric You're so pedantically binary!

I'd rather sign in to the Chinopera forums and be forced to read and answer every post there of the last 5 years, while being punished by Chinopera fresh news in a purple hipstery environment every hour than trying to stop her, aka doing the impossible
-
@Steffie Like Windows stuff, you mean?

Oh, mean!

I most emphatically do not!

All right, take a breath now, close your eyes and dream of the new Vivaldi Snapshot... coming with M3... and customizable context-menu... so beautiful.... breath in.... breath out...

Chinopera
evolution...
-
@npro Given you're still a MJ user, technically it should be
Breath2
. -
@npro As I wrote some posts above → méthode Coué
-
@Steffie If I would have done that, I would summon lamarca, now would you like that?
Anyways, it's been so fun, cya's for now
-
@npro No, we wouldn't. :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

Due to this delay in development and the lack of any communication from the devs, I can't help thinking that there may be some financial trouble with Vivaldi.
-
@nutcracker Nah, my guess is that a meteoroid fell on their building & squashed the servers. Or they have been held up by a group of angry unicorns. Or all the friends of Feature stormed the office & demanded restitution. Maybe overnight one night all the office network cabling transformed into spaghetti? Howzabout possibly Jon issued a new corporate edict that no further development is allowed unless ALL Devs are mounted on unicycles... but there's a supply backlog from the factory?
Maybe, instead... C87 is just being very difficult...

@steffie: And how about getting a treatment?
