More fixes and another minor Chromium bump – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2088.7
-
My tabs change order seemingly at random after every browser restart.
-
@Qyngali That's plain weird. Are you using extensions? If yes, does the misbehaviour continue in a clean Test profile, or otherwise in your current profile with all extensions disabled?

Help, I created this account yesterday. Today all bookmarks disappeared, did not reappear when logged in. Cursor was highlighting empty folder at the time, hit delete to remove empty folder and everything else went poof despite deselected. Why were they not saved to my account to bring back up at relogin. This would be a Vivaldi dealbreaker.
Also I must login twice, first attempt does not take.
Finally, your tab arrangement is not user friendly. Can you add a delete key to each tab. Its inconvenient not to be able to delete a tab without other things disappearing also. Tiling and pinned tabs ok, but a delete option is critical. thanks. -

@vcomm
Hi, please create a new thread for the bookmark problem, this has nothing to do with this snapshot. Many user will try to help you.
For feature requests there is a special part of the forum.
But since 3000 requests were asked, I guess yours are already requested.Cheers, mib

A request to enable Qwant private search engine to actually search qwant.com. Vivaldi does not do this though qwant is default search in my Settings. Instead it takes user to the site where search must be re-entered. Double search.

You need to enter the "search tag", not just the engine address.
See https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/46609/vivaldi-search-engines-collection for a large list of engine "tags". -

See https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/46609/vivaldi-search-engines-collection for a large list of engine "tags".and it appears the Qwant search url there is wrong
https://www.qwant.com/?q=%
should be
https://www.qwant.com/?q=%s
-
@iAN-CooG Actually, it is more wrong - isn't the Vivaldi tag still relevant?
https://www.qwant.com/?client=brz-vivaldi&q=%s
-
@TbGbe I just created a new Vivaldi profile for testing and found that the Qwant search is no longer pre-installed in Vivaldi.
-
-
@stardepp Qwant began blocking Vivaldi, and would not clean up their code. So I guess that was the end of that.
-
@Ayespy It's strange, but Qwant still have instructions tailored to Vivaldi on how to use it as your default.

@Rammix Iirc, discussed several times in the forum, in various threads, for several days. Can't recall if someone raised a bug report.
Fwiw, my memory is not good, so it's possible i only imagined that it's been discussed.
-
@steffie: I don't know if this is related or not, but multiple tab selection seems to be broken too. My tabs are places vertically. When I try to select several tabs from top to bottom holding shift or control it doesn't work - the targeted tab just blinks shortly and the focus switches to another tab. If I try to do the same from bottom to top then it works normally. Weird.
-
Nice, wondering how we are far from RCs
-
@Hadden89 oh that's at least 2 weeks from now, they haven't upgraded to Chromium 87 yet.
-
@Gwen-Dragon yeah, it would be wierd not to already work on it, personally I 'd expect the new (upgraded) snapshot today or tomorrow the latest, then 2 weeks of public testing
