Quick Commands - Using tab key on the keyboard should move you down the list same like it does in the address bar.
I start to type i get list of results i should be able to tab down instead of reaching for arrow keys or clicking with mouse. -
@Stormscion Hi, I think the fact that this doesn't work is likely a bug. Please report it
For information on how to report a bug, see this URL: https://vvld.in/how-to-report-bugs
On the form, you can add your email address. Once submitted, you'll get a confirmation. You can reply to this with any logs or further info.
Once that is done, please share the bug number (beginning with VB- or VAB-). Thanks.

@Stormscion This is how it worked in the past, now the tab key seems to autocomplete the automatically prefilled text in the input field of quickcommands. Either way, pressing tab and shift‐tab to go forward and backward in quickcommands results has never been very efficient. As someone pointed out in a feature request recently, fuzzy find would be great. But I would also be happy with custom keyboard shortcuts to move in the UI.

@Stormscion I have filed the bug VB-83733. I would also love to see the ability to set keyboard shortcuts for the Quick Commands

Is there any update on this? I still can't cycle quick commands with the tab key.

@baz100 The tab key confirms the suggestion in the input field of Quick Commands, it’s unlikely we will ever be able to navigate results with tab. But arrow keys are bad, we should be able to do up/down in the UI with a custom shortcut, this should work anywhere not only in QC.
-
@luetage There is a good reason why they’re called the “cursor keys.” PageUp/PageDown also work well, as does scrolling with the mousewheel.
The Tab key and Shift tab are typically used to navigation dialog controls.

@Pesala Only keyboard users have a beef with this. Arrow keys are bad, because you lose positioning. You type, you stop, you reach for the arrow keys, you go back for enter, might want to type again, etc. There’s nothing wrong with requesting to be able to set up/down shortcuts freely to replace the arrow keys. Anyone who doesn’t like it can keep the default arrow keys, everyone happy.

Strong upvote for @luetage 's proposal above.

I am trying to stop using cvim and use the functionality provided by Vivaldi, mostly in order to avoid memory overconsumption and also because cvim is very much end-of-life.
I strongly prefer keeping my hands as close to the home row as possible, and have muscle-memory around using j/k to navigate.
I use a 60% keyboard which means arrow keys are a two-key chord (fn+[something]). And you lose positioning, as luetage points out. Being required to use the mouse is basically unacceptable as far as I'm concerned, it's far too slow.Tab to move around the quick commands menu does not work for me. (I think I have seen some documentation implying it should, but the pages I'm seeing now only talk about arrow keys/mouse usage.)

Sorry, maybe I should have started a new feature request, can the mods let me know?
To be clear: I am not asking for the title of this feature request ("using the tab key in quick commands") but a way to remap the arrow key navigation to j/k in the quick command results list. Thanks!
