clock with the date display with the Year

Could the current year still be shown on the watch with the date display? That would be very useful.

@stardepp This is just creeping sophistication. No one needs to be reminded of the current year to make sure they catch their train/bus/flight.

Next, people will be asking for sunrise/sunset times, and phases of the moon.

If you want a calendar, open the History Tab. That shows the current day of the week too.

an easier solution would be to allow users to specify the time string to use - vivaldi can already do this with the image capture template, so maybe that could be reused.

@LonM Currently, it gets it from the Long Date Format (at least in Windows). No date or day is included in that, but one can remove the leading zero, and choose between 12 and 24 hour clocks.

Any particular reason why a clock was implemented in the browser.?
Most desktops if not all of them have integrated clocks etc so i find this "addition" rather defunct.

A cpu and ram monitor would be more beneficial.

@Priest72 People have different needs. A CPU and RAM monitor already exists — press Shift+Escape. Reasons for adding the Status Bar clock:

• It was requested
• Many users hide the Windows Taskbar
• Alarms and countdown timers are handy and not available without using extensions or third-party apps
• The clock can be moved to the address bar to keep it in view. I often lose track of time when busy.

It would be very useful if the time on the status bar would show the complete date with calendar week, weekday and display of the year, as shown in this screenshot:

@adamdylan In Settings, Webpages, Image Capture, you can set the date and time in the filename of the captured screenshot.

and unfortunately the date does not carry.

@adamdylan None of the buttons currently on the Address Bar would be much use on the Status Bar.

To stop wasting real-estate, hold down the shift key to drag the buttons up from the Status Bar to the Address Bar, and use the Status Bar overlay instead of the Status Bar. The zoom slider cannot be moved, so if you rely on that, you're stuck with using the Status Bar.
