PiP for youtube, want to be able to disable automatically upon opening full screen

The title says it all, I would like to be able to de-activate picture in picture when going into full screen mode, on a side note, could the picture in picture icon on the task-bar be stacked as a new window instead of a whole new icon?

@JoeleyOs The icon has already disappeared from fullscreen videos in the latest Snapshot.

The extra icon on the taskbar should be reported as a possible bug. I have two windows open, and only one icon, until I use PiP.

I think actually is more a request or a chromium bug.
PIP window is not "stacked" in the taskbar.

@Hadden89 Yeah, because with firefox, and Opera, when you go into PiP its stacked in the taskbar.

@Pesala So in the newest snap shot, if you go into fullscreen mode with PiP open, will the PiP go away automatically and fullscreen will resume?

@JoeleyOs If you open a PiP window first, then go fullscreen in the source tab, the PiP window remains and the source tab is black with just the title bar and media control bar as usual.

If you use the icon in the PiP window to exit PiP mode, the video plays fullscreen in the source window as expected.

If you go fullscreen without a PiP window open, there is no icon in the fullscreen video to switch to PiP mode.

@Pesala I could've sworn that in firefox (the browser I used last) when going from PiP view to full screen, it automatically got rid of PiP, so I don't think it is a youtube issue, however thank you for the follow up, it might just be some sort of optimization that firefox has put in place, but I don't know.

Hi, Unfortunately the developers have decided to mark this request as "Will not do", which means this request won't be implemented in Vivaldi.
