UPDATE: Move the Windows Volume Display (OSD)

For a long time the volume display of Windows has been bothering me in the upper left corner of the desktop.

I deactivated this OSD with the free software "HideVolumeOSD"

This works very well, but that it starts with Windows, just copy this program into the Autostart folder.

Now you have no volume indicator at all. So I looked for a replacement:

With this software you can display the volume indicator anywhere, there are also different skins for the volume OSD.

The above tip is no longer necessary, those using Windows 11 22H2 now have a new volume indicator at the bottom center, see screenshot:

Finally Microsoft has implemented this
