"Switch to tab" function
-
On mobile, I have a bad habit of re-opening sites multiple times a week just because the tab manager is not that optimal for searching previous tabs.
I suggest adding an feature "switch to tab" in the address bar for switching to a specified tab when it's title/URL has been typed.
It should be an additional autocomplete entry, so that it would still be possible to navigate to the URL/search twice, if so preferred.

I really really really want this too! I'm a massive tab hoarder with more than 100 tabs. It's not a big deal as there are no performance issues as Chromium doesn't keep 'em in memory BUT the tab switcher is slow but that's a regression on Chromium's side that I hope that either Vivaldi or Edge/Microsoft can fix as it was incredibly smooth in at least Chromium 66 and the gestures were responsive.
I love that I can search in the address box in Firefox (both Android and desktop) for my tabs. Chromium for desktop has this too and there's a button that says "Switch to this tab" on the right of the result. It doesn't have to be a separate result.
In addition to this, I'd love it if there were a search button in the tab switcher to search from there. Oh and to go back to my tab hoarding, I really wanna be able to bookmark all of my tabs. This would probably be in the menu of the tab switcher. It'd be even better if these three were also commited to Chromium.
Just so you know, the tab grid view (at least in regular Chromium for Android) has terrible performance but re-ordering tabs is epic. There are also issues with how the list scrolls when you are dragging a tab. Firefox doesn't have these issues.
I've noticed that when starting the browser (I can tell because the site is loading from scratch and the tabs haven't been loaded as the indicator on the tab icon is blank and not a smiley face yet), and even after waiting, the tab will sometimes be in a random spot. Most of the time it's fine and it's in the right position.Oh and I also hope that Vivaldi incorporates Bromite's (an open source browser based on Chromium) very new feature that lets you disable Javascript per site. I'm drooling just thinking about it :p

Please make a separate suggestion.

hey @madiso do you know if anyone from vivaldi will see this?

@poopooracoocoo Unless they reply here, no. The best thing we can do is get more votes to prioritize it, so feel free to share this.
