Adblocking doesn't seem to work on private tabs
-
E.g. reading news websites on private tabs shows a lot of ads compared to browsing on regular tabs.

@fsc Vivaldi doesn't have any ad blocking at all - I'm not sure why you would be getting more in private vs non-private
-
Many (most?) sites don't serve the same ads each time the page is loaded. It could possibly be that when they were loaded in the private tab the site just served more aggressive, flashy, annoying ads. But as @LonM said, there currently isn't any support for ad blocking in Vivaldi Android. Hopefully extensions will be supported in the near future. If you'd like to see this functionality added, vote for the first post in this thread.

Vivaldi on Android only blocks abusive ads, it doesn't have a real adblocker.Until Vivaldi allows extensions or has a built-in adblocker, you can also use Blokada (on the official website or on F-Droid)
https://blokada.org/ (OpenSource)
It also has added advantages, since it not only blocks ads on the network, but also in the apps installed on the mobile. -
So I see.
Well... Cheers fot the extension support, then. -
