I have a sneaking suspicion that this may not be supported, it's an unofficial port basically maintained by one guy and is known to have a fair amount of issues. Although I expect that Android-x86 won't receive any official support these are some things you could try...

Upgrade to the current version (r2) of Android-x86. That was released back in June and you're still running the version from January.

Check your settings to make sure you've enabled support for arm architecture apps via the native bridge. (Settings -> Android-x86 options). If you read the output that you pasted here, the system is denying Vivaldi permission to the code cache directory which is causing the process to crash. If the above is not set, this may fix it.

Alternatively, consider giving Android-x86 Pie 9 a try, or Bliss OS, Prime OS or Phoenix OS. Some of the unofficial Androids that run on x86 are ahead of Android-x86… which, honestly, has a terribly offensive website IMO. I mean, porn ads on an open source project's homepage? Seriously!? That's the last time I'm loading that domain.

Right, as I said, Vivaldi Android doesn't support extensions. And as I mentioned in the previous reply, I visited the correct site, I just refuse to load the site again and wrote the post from memory. It's the official website that is serving up tons of inappropriate ads. I'm not going to support that punk. That's not what open source is about. If I ever wanted to install Android on an x86 arch I would either use one of the other projects, possibly one that has advanced beyond this one, or fork the code myself.

Not sure why this keeps being ignored, but Vivaldi Android cannot install extensions, at least for the time being. On my workstation I harden the browser beyond just extensions and ad blocking, but that doesn't apply in this case as the thread is about Vivaldi Android, the browser I use on my phone now. Nothing you described will work.

This isn't really relevant to the forum category, but it's your thread & directed at me so I'll address the confusion here. Being a "heavy user" isn't the same thing as using these tools well. You have 4 extensions when really just 1 would suffice. A lot of people think they are increasing their security and privacy by running multiple redundant extensions, but the reality is the exact opposite.

The unnecessary load aside, running all those extensions actually makes you easier to track than if you just use the best one properly, negating a primary reason for using them. You should uninstall ScriptBlock & Disconnect (and possibly Privacy Badger) and learn how to configure and use uBlock Origin.

uBlock Origin does everything Disconnect & ScriptBlock do. Using these alongside UBO only makes you easier to track. Privacy Badger is an interesting tool, it uses a different method (heuristics) to learn what to block, but it doesn't block different kinds of things. It is debatable if using PB in combination with UBO provides any benefit, and if it does whether there is a net increase or decrease in your privacy. You have to decide for yourself if the tradeoff is worth it: a possibility (not a certainty) that a tracker might be blocked that isn't caught by UBO until an update, at the cost of being easier to track by other means.

There are some extensions that are worthwhile to run in combination with UBO. If you really want to increase your privacy & security, uMatrix is a good partner for UBO, but it is a more advanced tool and takes some time to get it configured so it's not breaking all of your sites. You should first learn UBO, once you've got it set up properly using the advanced features you'll be ready to use uMatrix as well. They do make a good pair when you've changed UBO from default settings, increased its blocking and set up your personal rules.

Websites don't serve the same ads every time a page is served, they aren't (usually) static content embedded in the page. Not only can different people see different ads, you'll likely see different ads if you visit the page today, or perhaps even every reload. Posting the ads you saw at that time doesn't say anything about the ads I saw when I visited the page.

I'm not going to post an image of scantily clad women here, or anywhere for that matter. But it was surprising and off-putting enough that I actually did take a screenshot. If you really don't believe me and are desperately wanting proof, you can provide some private share for me to put it if you want. Or better yet, just whitelist the site. That way you are supporting the project you're using and eventually you'll see some bare bums and disturbingly unreal anime figures of women in bikinis.

Anyways, good luck. Maybe try some of my other suggestions since upgrading didn't work for you. It's also possible that upgrading to the Pie version might work, I don't know. Hopefully you've already replied to the bug email letting the Vivaldi team know about Android-x86 & that it uses its own custom built kernel. Based on the errors in the OP, that may very well be related to the problem.

As a quick data point, Vivaldi isn't loading any pages on my completely stock x86 Zenfone 2 either. The causes may be completely different of course but the end result looks the same.

Not only may the causes completely different, the operating systems are completely different. There is no way ASUS would ever ship a product using an unofficial OS hack maintained by one random somebody. The OS running on your phone is developed by Intel. I would say that while your case is indeed a limited one, it is more likey to receive support from Vivaldi. Go ahead and submit a bug report if you want, but it should be its own separate issue.
