Edit SpeedDial
-
Excuse me for my bad English.
I know there are some aspects that can be edited, and that recently an update came out that adds more depth to the customization of this, but there are some details that are not complete. A very clear example:
I have a page with several links and custom thumbnails that I do not even remember where I have stored, but the URLs they point to have changed or I would like to change them, I do not have the possibility to edit the link pointed to by an element of SpeedDial
I think that SpeedDial has great potential and although it is good for some users to keep it simple, it would be interesting to have the possibility of adding more elements and more personalization. Recently I suggested adding an RSS reader and a system to save news to read later, personally I would like to have the shortcut offered by SpeedDial, but also a list of news from sites that I follow to have everything in one place, but well distributed I do not know if I can convey my idea.
Greetings and keep it up with Vivaldi, it's my default browser for more than 1 year

Speed dials are stored as normal bookmarks, so you can edit the URLs if you go to the bookmark page (
Ctrl + B
) or the bookmark panel. -
@brianerc hi. I moved your post for you. Do you mean you would like to be able to see the location of a thumbnail in order to edit it?
-
Ohh Thank you, this was very helpful!
I also think that I would have to allow you to edit the link within the contextual menu, and honestly, I would love to have something like "widgets" with various functions to enhance SpeedDial: D
Again thank you very much! because I had many links to correct
-
@LonM No, I want to say that I would like to have the option to edit it completely (image, name and URL) in the contextual menu of each element / miniature of SpeedDial.
I would also love to have customizable Widgets with extra features, such as listing feed system news, items I checked to "read later", etc.Thank you so much for move the topic!

@brianerc I see. Does the method suggested by komposten in the earlier reply about Bookmarks help this need in any way?
-
@LonM Of course, if I open the bookmarks, I look for the link and edit it works, although it is not the most usable, of course I would never find the way unless it was indicated to me, the natural thing, at the usability level, is to try to look for it in the menu contextual.
-
@brianerc Another method, probably quicker, is to go to the speed dial link then click on Add Bookmark in the Address Field. You can then edit it there.
It might get implemented, but with nearly 1,800 feature requests, who knows when, so it is advisable to look for workarounds if you want it now and not next year.

@Pesala Hello, thanks for your help, I could finally edit it, anyway I propose it as a functionality to implement thinking of making Vivaldi a browser more used and accepted by all types of users, since users with less technical knowledge will escape more to Vivaldi If details like this are not implemented, I think.
Greetings and thanks a lot

I think is a duplicate of this, but would be a nice feature to have
Or you mean the path of thumbs? -

Thank you for your request. As this post has had less than 5 votes over 4 years it will now be archived.
