"more posts" button in Facebook
-
Since last snaphot 2.5.1511.4 (Official Build) (64-bit) I now see a "More posts" button every 8 posts or so
Tests OK with Firefox
Same issue with Vivaldi & Chrome
Anyone else seeing same issue? -
@robgr Happens here. Must be a Facebook vs Chromium issue.
-
Yes! I've been having the same problem. Finally tested today with Firefox, and it was fine. Only V does this with me.
-
@JoelYoung Happens on Android as well, here.
-
Happened to me too, very annoying. But in Firefox and Chrome this does not happen.
-
@stardepp Looks like facebook is feeding bad code to everyone but its preferred browsers.
-
@Ayespy Even user agent spoofing doesn't work. This is frustrating, and totally uncool of Facebook to do (if that's what they're doing).

And you can do something about it?
-
I have a good solution, most of the Facebook accounts I make a copy of me as a Feed in the extension 'Feedbro'. The advantage is that I can sort in this expansion, the Facebook feed, as I would like and I can also create bookmarks and scrolling without 'more posts' Stopper.
I do this also with Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, Instagram accounts and many others. All together I have 450 Feeds in Feedbro.

It's issue with Chromium. New Edge Canary behaves same, have to click to more posts.
-
I have tested the problem with several browsers:
Yes signifies: error occurs
No: Mistake does not step onChromium: no
Edge: no
Edge Canary: yes
Chrome: no
Firefox: no
Vivaldi: yes -
Another oddity about this issue:
For me, it only happens on the FB news feed. It does not happen on my Timeline page, nor does it happen in Groups or Fan/Business pages. ONLY on the news feed. Very strange. -
I uninstalled my Vivaldi Snapshot 2.5 this morning and then installed Vivaldi Stable 2.4.1488.40, connected it to Sync and made all the settings. Then I scrolled down the timeline in Facebook for about two hours and not once was the "more posts" button displayed.
So the error can only be due to Vivaldi Snapshot 2.5.
-
@stardepp It's not due to the snapshot. It's due to how facebook handles Chromium 74, on which the snapshot is built.
-
@Ayespy Ok, good to know, but I stay with Vivaldi Stable.

Is V snapshot the only one using 74? I wonder, because the issue happens only here, not in Chrome or Firefox (haven't tested other browsers).
-
I think FB is actually doing some "layout tests" on some accounts for chromium 74.
Here - tested with several user agents (chr73,74,75,76) and browsers (edge/chromium/vivaldi based on such UAs) - I've never had "show more posts"
Could also be a stored cookie which retain this new behaviour when UA is chr74 (I never wipe fb cookies) -
@Hadden89 Friends of mine have also complained of something similar. They're not using Vivaldi. It does only happen on Snapshots with Vivaldi, not stable. For my part, I deleted 12 facebook-related cookies and it changed nothing.
Chrome is not on Chromium 74 yet. Firefox is not on any Chromium version at all, as far as I know.

Latest snapshot has fixed this issue! Yay!
Chromium 74 had a small update that seems to have fixed it. Very happy!
