I can't update to this snapshot. Setup.exe hangs every time.

Sistema operativo Windows
JavaScript V8 7.2.502.27
Running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, service pack 1. -
@s_paternotte: Sync seems to be working fine now.

[regression?] cookies are not erased anymore, by "Session only" setting
Do this:- choose "Session only" cookies, in the cookies settings
- select "Block third-party cookies", in the cookies settings
- login into Facebook, Netflix AND open some more website
- carefully logout from Facebook, Netflix AND close all the TABs
Open Vivaldi settings and you'll see that the session cookies will still be listed into the "Display cookies" textbox
Is it something you can replicate?
I'm using Vivaldi64, on W64, INCOGNITO MODE.

@killchain: I don't see any three dot button (in this version), there is no way of hiding/unhiding icons from the extension page and, additionally, the context menu choice "hide button" (on any address bar extension icon) does not work! In fact the manipulation of any extension is restricted to "remove"! But maybe I'm wrong and somebody else can help me.

@Pathduck I don't like easter eggs. I can never find them. Version number in settings search box? Running game?
I really don't like easter eggs. I never can find them. Really. -
@folgore101: Re: the vertical alignment, I think this is a known issue.
I have encountered this esthetic problem, the wording of the version is not centered
-
In linux version:
address bar>extensions>extensions toggle was unchecked after update, I think. I toggled it back on and it works to hide/unhide extension icons. -
@gwen-dragon: It does, great. I made a resetting. But I can't toggle "Synchronize Selected Data". It's greyed out.
-
Funny thing, I messed around majorly with toolbar buttons to find out what breaks.
What I already knew: Hidden extension icons can't be unhidden.
But: The status bar has issues too. You can move the buttons around freely, but as soon as you move all buttons out from the left side of the status info, you can't repopulate this space anymore. Same goes for the other status bar buttons. I moved all status bar buttons into the toolbar in the address bar and wasn't able to move any of them back from this point on. – Now you would think, who cares? I can just reset the customization. Resetting to default is only available from the address bar. Upon triggering it all status bar buttons get removed from the address bar, but they don't show up in the status bar anymore, insrtead they are gone for good – with no possibility (that doesn't involve hacking the application or resetting your profile) to bring them back into the UI. -
The profile icon appears to be distorted. This is particularly visible with round looking images (e.g. the football)
As you can see the icon is stretched out vertically.

@iAN-CooG
Too bad it does not shrink dynamically on window resize. On a fullHD display, a full screen window has enough space to see the URL, but resizing the window to its half width, and the version info takes all the space. -
@nutcracker: I forgot that this was hidden behind a setting: Address Bar -> Extensions Toggle (must be checked to show the three dot toggle). Also, there was a bug that affected the toolbar functionality, but I can't remember how to deal with it.
-
Since the last snapshot, I have a button on the extensions toolbar for switching profiles ("people"). I don't want that button, but I see no way to remove it, not through chrome://flags nor through Vivaldi's settings. Has this been reported as a bug yet?
-
@arizone: Not sure why smooth scrolling is such an issue on Ubuntu when it's very smooth here on Solus (Linux). No extension needed for me.
-
@Motionshot See recent topics on Vivaldi Forum. At least 3 or 4 tell you how to hide the icon/remove the experiment/exchange the icon. Since Vivaldi devs want us to test this, I'd personally go with exchanging the image for an svg.
-
@zakius: That's not entirely true. Yes, they both allow you to customize the toolbar, but neither of them has a status bar anymore, so you can't customize that freely. The only other browser that lets you customize the status bar like that is SeaMonkey (and also Falkon, but less so than Vivaldi and SeaMonkey).
-
@Motionshot I'd use the status bar if you could toggle it on and off, but you can't.
Well, you can, but it's self-defeating since it doesn't remember the state of Status Bar Info Overlay. So, when you toggle the status bar off again, no overlay.... End result: I never use the status bar.

Anybody else having this bug?
- Left click on the trash (closed tabs) icon
- It opens devtools

Not me; still works in Linux.
However, i have a new bug with this SS... on most [not all] sites, most [not all] of the time, text-select is no longer copied to clipboard [that's uniquely a Linux function; no Win V user can test it]. I know for a fact that it still worked fine in the previous SS.

@motionshot: it's not about smooth scrolling but acceleration, i.e. with little push wheel how fast/how far webpage is scrolling.
