Upvoted feature request thread should be BUMP UP just like new post
-
Many high voted old feature request threads will end up buried in the backlog, unnoticed by new members, & eventually forgotten by everyone. IMHO this phenomena is cause by ONLY thread with new post got bump up & promoted to the top of the list. And most user don't post on feature request thread which he upvoted, thus such thread will eventually push to the backlog by new thread.
Solution:
Bump up & promote feature request thread whenever someone UPVOTED a topic (or post within the thread), just like thread with new post. This should continue promote & keep high voted old feature request on the top of the list, & make it easier for new member to discover & vote for old feature request. In some forum, this feature is call "Active Topic". It keep active thread on top of list base on forum members' interest/activity instead of just bumping topic with new post to the top.
Thanks for your support & discussion. -
The idea is OK, but it needs something another in the right column so we won't search for new post.

@potmeklecbohdan That will work too as option. Some people would prefer to ignore what others upvoted, & focus only on new post.
As of now we have Unread, Recent & Popular sort method, but they all focus on new post & most view topic, without taking upvote into consideration.
