Opening attachments and viewing them

I just noticed that in the stable version > 2.2.1388.34 (Stable channel) (64-bit) that if I click on an attachment and then click open it just opens.
But in the snapshot version > 2.2.1388.29 (Official Build) snapshot (64-bit) doing the same thing it opens a window to save the file.
I was under the impression that the snapshot version was ahead of the stable version.

Not in this specific case, as you can tell by the version numbers
Snapshot 2.2.1388.29 is earlier than Stable 2.2.1388.34 -
Okay, Vivaldi has been upgraded to 2.3.1401.7 (Official Build) snapshot (64-bit)
Still opening an E-mail attachment asks me to save the file instead of opening like it does the stable version.
So again why is the snapshot version behind the stable version?

@troypulk thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble. Is this issue still happening? If so it's more related to the browser than the webmail itself so don't hesitate to report it either here on this forum under the linux category and/or report it as a bug on vivaldi.com/bugreport
Also to reply to your question about the differences between snapshot and stable, we wrote a blog post recently explaining the differences between them here: https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshot-vs-stable/
I hope this helps. Let me know otherwise

Yes, it's still happening.
Clicking on a PDF in webmail and choosing open, opens another tab with open in the middle, then clicking on open brings up my installed window choice I then click on open again and it asks me to save it.
