Enable Spellcheck in Settings, Webpages
-
In addition to the existing right-click menu I'd like to see the spellcheck options also located in the Webpages menu. This computer crashed due a a hard drive failure recently & after I reinstalled everything, including Vivaldi, spellcheck didn't work. I wasted a lot of time searching the settings & looking for spellcheck until I tried the right click options. Thanks for considering!

@Wireaddict A topic in help file would be more useful, to be honest.
It's not just a matter of enabling spell-check in edit boxes, users will also need to be able to install dictionaries, and select languages to use for checking text, which is best done in a text edit box.

@Wireaddict thanks for raising this issue and sorry for the troubles. We'll add a help page on this topic asap.

@Gaëlle I could find no topic in Help on adding dictionaries or even on using spell-check. I reported this defect as:
(VIV-898 ) No Help on Using Spell-check nor on Adding Dictionaries
To Add A New Language
- Right-click in a text edit area like this message reply box
- From the context menu, select Spell-check, Language Settings
- Expand the Language drop down
- Select Add languages
- Select your language from the list

Almost two years later, and there is still no help topic on this.
