Option to remove Extension toggle button
-
I don't use it at all, like Home button, so i'd like to remove it from the address bar.
Btw, "Extensions Toggle" option in the Settings makes no sense. Whether it is on or off, the button exists on the toolbar -
@Gregor This is probably because you have an extension hidden. Unhide the extension and the toggle should disappear.

If Extensions Toggle is
On
: Clicking it hides/shows all extension buttons.
If Extensions Toggle isOff
: Clicking it hides/shows all extension buttons you have manually hidden (Right-click > Hide Button).Yes, the name of the setting might be a bit confusing. Maybe it could be changed to a drop-down with three options:
- No toggle.
- Toggle hidden extension buttons.
- Toggle all extension buttons.

I do not think I understood. I have 4 extension buttons visible and "Extension Toggle" option disabled.

That's what I meant. Changing the name of the option or changing it's function.

Toggle hidden extension buttons.
Toggle all extension buttons.Good proposition. It should be like this, and it's why I created this topic.

It's pretty simple. If you have the extension toggle disabled, but you have one or more extension icons hidden, the extension toggle will still show, to toggle the hidden extension. You got to have all extension icons visible and the extension toggle turned off in settings, then the extension toggle will disappear. In your case it doesn't disappear, which means you either have extension icons hidden, or something is bugged in your install, in which case you should try cleaning your profile. If that doesn't help submit a bug report.

I have some extension icons hidden and some visible. I get it now how it works.
But still in my case I can't disable extensions toggle. That's why I created this suggestion. -

This! -
Now is better, but still no option to disable/hide extensions toggle from the address bar.

@Gwen-Dragon there are cases where the user wants to have some extensions button always hidden, some shown, but doesn't care to have the toggle. (edited: grammar)
I for example in the past had only uBlock origin as shown extension, and never cared to have the other extensions shown (mind, I had only 2 more before) hence not even the toggle dot button, because it was irrelevant to have them shown, like uBlock Origin Extra and Classic Images where the button doesn't do anything. Now even with only one extension shown and the toggle always there, take the space of 2 extensions.
