@folgore101 I can confirm on macOS too.
MacBook Pro Early 2015 / macOS 10.12.6 Sierra / Vivaldi 2.2.1360.4
-
@mib2berlin @hlehyaric
Thank you.
I reported the bug, is the VB-46052 "Links do not work properly in Tile Tabs" -
@pesala Chromium has the highest score in html5:
YOUR BROWSER SCORES 527 OUT OF 555 POINTS -
@burbuja
Hi, I have 528 with Vivaldi too, it depends on hardware and OS I guess.
Opensuse Tumbleweed x86_64
CPU i7-3520M 8 GB
GPU Intel HD4000
xf86-video-intel 2.99.917-6.1
KDE Plasma 5.13.5.11
Vivaldi 2.2.1360.4 (Official Build) snapshot (64-bit)Cheers, mib
-
@burbuja I got 530 with Vivaldi. The results were otherwise identical to chrome's, but Vivaldi gained 2 extra points from "fullscreen support". I don't know what chrome 71 scores though. They only had 68 for comparison.
-
@buak My Vivaldi also scores 530. Chromium 71 scores 538.

the Terminal tips don't works for me :
The libffmpeg.so is created on the ~/.local/lib/vivaldi-snapshot/ directory but i'm unable to read mp4 videos.Any ideas ?

The blog post speaks about the widevine module that don't loads, but I didn't notice about libffmpeg.

Today (November 15th 2018) something strange happened. I started Vivaldi, synced, and found out that some of my speed dial entries were doubled! Fortunately it was very easy to find out those double entries since only the initial ones had the favicons I had assigned, all the additional were "blank". By taking a closer look I observed that only the most "busy" entries were doubled while the others (rarely visited websites) were OK! Why is that and why the selective doubling? I dont' believe that anybody keeps track of my browsing habits!
-
Hmm, I just tried to rearrange (drag&drop) the order of the extension icons on the toolbar, but it was not possible.
I know I could do this before. Has the functionality been removed?Win10x64 Vx64
-
@helsten2 works for me
-
@ian-coog: OK, thanks. So I guess it is something here ... but I have no idea what. The icon disappears as soon as I try to drag it. I have to toggle the extensions to see it again.
-
I'm not sure if has been like that in the past but lately Vivaldi stays as a zombie in the task manager despite closing it.
-
@npro When you go to
chrome://settings/?search=hardw
is "Continue running background apps [...]" enabled? If yes does it change the behaviour when you disable it? -
@zaibon said in Better Widevine (EME) support for Linux – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1360.4:

Hi @zaibon , thanks I will disable it and report back.
-
@nutcracker Bookmarks in Chromium have a field that has the date of the last time you used it, apparently Vivaldi could not sync it correctly thinking it was a completely different bookmarks because of this field. Don't know why Vivaldi did that though.
-
Thank you Vivaldi crew!

I've found the trouble, the old libffmpeg.so installed by latest-proprietary-media-future.was still in the /opt/vivaldi-snapshot/ directory. I've deleted it and now it works great
So @ruario in the terminal output, maybe take care of this case. (wrong libffmpeg.so in the browser install directory)
-
@zaibon Welp, it did happen again, so it must be something else.
-
@npro Sorry to hear - so this might be an extension or something new (at least for me)
