@TheQuantumAlpha
TheForceirony is strong with this one. -

@Steffie Jon said "soon" (It seems he was thinking, this month) so I feel OK saying "soon," now.
@Ayespy , indeed. I believe we will get a Technical Preview out this month. Obviously you know the state of things as you are testing it.

Hmm. Once M3 does appear in a stable release, I wonder what the next "big thing" will be to stir Vivaldi user anticipation at anywhere near the level that M3 has seen? Somehow, it seems things will get a whole lot quieter...
@Blackbird , we have plenty of things on our list, but hopefully our other projects will not take as long as this one. It has been a major task and I look forward to sharing it with you (M3).

@Blackbird A new browser engine or, why not, Vivaldi OS. But I can live if they just continue to kill pet bugs

@Hadden89 , clearly that is most of our focus. Fixing any issues and adding more flexibility. That is core to who we are.

Jon, i acknowledge you have mentioned this several times recently, but i had not really focused on the practical significance of the "TP" words til now. By describing it this way, as a TP rather than just an impending "ordinary" Snapshot, does that mean that users interested in trying M3 won't get it in their "ordinary" Snapshot stream, but instead would need to download a separate new TP stream that would be akin to "Snapshot on steroids", comprising the M3 module?
Til now i had simply assumed that one day, after doing what i expected to be a routine Snapshot update, i would suddenly find it contained M3.

@Steffie , the goal is to have it in a snapshot, but potentially something you need to enable in the snapshot. We will need more time than a few weeks to get out a final release after the TP.

@jon so a vivaldi://experiment
-
@Hadden89 Ooh, checking now...

@jon so a vivaldi://experiment
@Hadden89 , that is an option. We are discussing how to do this exactly.

Or a flag.

@jon This afternoon i shall uninstall Thunderbird, then wait...
No pressure.

@TheQuantumAlpha I have to wait M4 for that (my spam account really need thunderbird filters).
But the others two can go with Vivaldi ^^ One even in TP phase. -
@Hadden89 Any word on M4?
-
@Steffie WIWBC (when it will be created)

@jon You know @Steffie . She has the driest sense of humor this side of the Sahara.
Indeed.
But we are getting closer now.

I wonder what the next "big thing" will be to stir Vivaldi user anticipation at anywhere near the level that M3 has seen?
vivaldi://calendar will hopefully become a focus of the team, but it cannot think of anything that will level the interest of users. I doubt that an integrated IRC or BitTorrent client would.

@Ayespy said in Any word on M3? (internal mail client):
That would be an inaccurate prediction. You need to clean your crystal ball.
Prove the opposite.
