Any word on M3? (internal mail client)
-
Good things come to those who wait.
-
@Priest72 5+ years… It’s relatively likely some Vivaldi users have already died awaiting the release. I mean, not that they care right now.
-
@luetage Who knows? They might need it in the afterlife…
-
@hlehyaric Not likely. In the afterlife they got cloud7️browser; and from what I gathered it’s heavenly. But[ what browser does Death use?
-
@luetage Ghostery browser?
-
@hlehyaric Nice try, but what kind of reply is that? Death obviously uses Vivaldi. Being able to stack tabs and then tile them for all the appointments is of the utmost importance. No way the skulldood uses something else.

Is it ready yet?
Oh yes, & we've all had it for months already. Did you not receive your copy? That's terribly sad.

I'm dead for a year, for tax reasons.
-
@Steffie I didn't receive it either . I'm gonna check my letter box…
-
@TheQuantumAlpha M3 is the built-in email client, currently being tested, which Vivaldi will soon offer.

soon
-
@Steffie Jon said "soon" (It seems he was thinking, this month) so I feel OK saying "soon," now.
-
Hmm. Once M3 does appear in a stable release, I wonder what the next "big thing" will be to stir Vivaldi user anticipation at anywhere near the level that M3 has seen? Somehow, it seems things will get a whole lot quieter...

@TheQuantumAlpha
TheForceirony is strong with this one. -

@Ayespy , indeed. I believe we will get a Technical Preview out this month. Obviously you know the state of things as you are testing it.

@Blackbird , we have plenty of things on our list, but hopefully our other projects will not take as long as this one. It has been a major task and I look forward to sharing it with you (M3).
-
@Blackbird A new browser engine or, why not, Vivaldi OS. But I can live if they just continue to kill pet bugs

@Hadden89 , clearly that is most of our focus. Fixing any issues and adding more flexibility. That is core to who we are.

Jon, i acknowledge you have mentioned this several times recently, but i had not really focused on the practical significance of the "TP" words til now. By describing it this way, as a TP rather than just an impending "ordinary" Snapshot, does that mean that users interested in trying M3 won't get it in their "ordinary" Snapshot stream, but instead would need to download a separate new TP stream that would be akin to "Snapshot on steroids", comprising the M3 module?
Til now i had simply assumed that one day, after doing what i expected to be a routine Snapshot update, i would suddenly find it contained M3.

@Steffie , the goal is to have it in a snapshot, but potentially something you need to enable in the snapshot. We will need more time than a few weeks to get out a final release after the TP.
