Dev tools as Vivaldi panel
-
In addition to the bookmarks, downloads, notes, history, and window panels, I'd like it if there were a Dev Tools panel that opens the built-in chromium dev tools pane as a Vivaldi panel.
The advantage here would be that you could keep the panel docked universally and the dev tools displayed there would always correspond with the currently focused tab. Many web developers would adore this feature, as you would no longer have to open a new dev tools pane for every new tab.

@dannyromano Good idea. I just don't agree with the switching – there should be some way to lock the panel to a tab so we can still visit other tabs without losing the current progress.

It should switch when you switch tabs, but your progress should still be there when you return to that tab.

Love it - dev tools floating panel would be great.

My personal dream is to have floating developer tools panel. That way it could hide automatically when I don't need it.
Developer tools panel is a Chrome thing and I think it will be hard to integrate it into Vivaldi panels. But it would be great if Vivaldi team at least could make it floating. That is - automatically hide it when it's not focused and then show again when you click or hover it's button. Just like it's implemented in many IDEs -
It would be super great to have Developer tools (the one which could be opened with ctrl+shift+i) as a sidebar panel

Data like loading time, cache size in it would be very useful too.
