Set Default Layout for Tile Tab Stack
-
I love using the Tile Tab Stack feature, but when I tile more than 3 tabs, the layout is set to "Grid View" by default. This isn't a helpful view as I span the browser across two monitors that are side by side. The ability to set the default layout to "Tile Vertically" would save me a ton of time as I use this feature while working (usually working out of 4-5 tabs at a time) and I'm constantly bring up new tabs in salesforce I'd like to see simultaneously. Again, love the tile tab stack feature as it is the feature that caused me to switch to Vivaldi in the first place.

It can be more advanced: using a grid like this:
When tiled less tabs → use only part of numbers, tiled more tabs → tile as default.Edit: added image.

@potmeklecbohdan Agreed but I was going for something more simple that would only take a junior developer 30 minutes to do. I have thought about the multiple capabilities but that would take significantly more effort and be less likely to be completed as the demand for such a thing would be significantly smaller than my request.

@roberthendershot Here, in the latest Snapshot, the default layout for three tabs is Tile vertically, and Tile to grid does not work. I suspect that will be fixed soon.
Edit: Tiling four or more tabs does work, and tiles to grid by default, whether the tabs are stacked or not.

I suggest editing the default shortcuts to make it easier to work with tab tiling. This is what I use:

@pesala Thanks for the update! I'll use this for now. Looking forward to the update where we can select a default format upon selecting "Tile Tab Stack"

Thank you for your request. As it has received few votes over 4 years, it is now going to be archived.
