Regression fixes, backend updates and improvements – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2.0.1295.3

It still has the bug where it opens as a non-maximized windows that fills the empty space on the screen. When will that be fixed?
Will it ever be fixed?
Picture for reference:

@zmeypc Thanks very much for the report! I've passed this on internally.
I also just checked the Google Chrome download page and it now shows that Chrome 69 requires Mac OS X 10.10 or later.
-
@gwen-dragon: For me, it works at the end of the gesture. You start the down movement anywhere you want, and end it on your link, and it will open in a new tab. Bug, indeed.
Edit : Filed VB-43185 -
I was waiting for the transition to 69 Chromuim.
In it, Google developers added the function of video removal in a separate window. Very convenient function, which is requested by many users. Like in modern Opera and some other browsers for a long time.
In flags there are two options unfortunately:
chrome://flags/#enable-picture-in-picture
and
chrome://flags/#enable-surfaces-for-videos
The function in Vivaldi not earned. On Youtube video you need to double-click the right button and select "Picture-in-picture " From the context menu. The main video on the page was black, and the pop-up window with the video did not appear. Only the sound was coming. -
Where is MAIL?
-
@saudiqbal It's in the post.
-
@deyirn: Did you try to change the option "remove space between tab bar and border of maximized window" ?
-
@ian-coog No problem here, but the way until it triggers is longer than usual.
-
@pesala I dont see it, I thought V2 was supposed to include M3.
-
@saudiqbal there is none, it's the 1st release from the 2.0 branch and it's far from final. Give it a rest.

@pesala said in Regression fixes, backend updates and improvements – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2.0.1295.3:
Mouse Gestures Sensitivity Slider is stuck on 5 pixels. Mouse gestures don't work every time.
I can't reproduce (win7 32bit tho), my slider works and the value is kept upon vivaldi restart.

@dragonmastr I don't see it listed, and already saw a couple of crashes.
Yeah, confirmed. I just obtained a Vivaldi crash by opening and closing a dozen of posts at 9gag, too bad.

Whew !!! You shocked me with that Welcome page
I thought for a second I'd have to re-import bookmarks and settings from backups.
Looking good so far.
Cheers -
Thanks for 2.0. But… why? And when will the 1.16 be stable? (If this was asked, please ignore me. I really can't read 3 pages at once.)
-
@xyzzy: In fact it all started with the previous SS for macOS — 1.16.1279.3. It would be nice if it would be possible that Vivaldi overcomes this limitation.
-
@cqoicebordel This is referring to the bug where when vivaldi opens, the UI thinks it is in a normal window state, but the OS thinks it is in maximised state.
-
@zmeypc Okay, thanks. The Vivaldi team looking into this to see what can be done.
-
@lonm: Ah, yes, my bad.
-
Impressive!

If you have Vivaldi running on 2 monitors and you click on a link on http://popurls.com/ Vivaldi will change to a blank page on one of the monitors.
