Plus/Minus Buttons on the Zoom Slider
-
Hi Team Vivaldi! Hope all is well
As a keen user of the Zoom feature, I often find myself searching for the plus/minus buttons next to the slider. I do use the keyboard shortcuts for zooming in and out (sometimes), but it would be practical to have these buttons there for those of us that are quite dependent on using a mouse. -
@margarita ALT+P > appearance > "use buttons in range control"
Or I misread the request? -
@hadden89 I'm thinking more along the lines of this:
-
@margarita If you enable the buttons in range control, the buttons will be there.
Click the zoom % field to enter a value.
-
@pesala The thing is, in an ideal Vivaldi Universe, I would be using both the slider and the plus/minus buttons, depending on how I intend to use the Zoom functionality.
-
@margarita In an ideal world the slider would be vertical, not horizontal, allowing much easier control.

@margarita
Maybe the request title should be "[Zoom] Option to show minus/plus buttons along the slider"But having the "numeric" zoom size is useful as I often use "awkard" values like 83% 87% 72% 53% for different pages and the slider is "approximative" in doing that.

@margarita In recent versions Quick Commands have been added. Not what you requested, but another way to quickly set the page zoom to a precise value without using the mouse. Also works for the User Interface Zoom. Adjusting that by fine increments can be useful to fit one more column of speed dial thumbnails on the start page. Examples after pressing F2 to open Quick Commands:
- Page Zoom 115
- UI Zoom 118
