Work begins on 1.16 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.16.1170.3

I played around with extension keyboard shortcuts for a bit. Turns out "activate extension" found on various extension activates the action popout successfully. About other available shortcuts I'm not so sure. Several I tried with ublock failed.
-
@pesala: Thanks.
That looks like what I had before ...
So something is wrong here, I guess.
Any suggestions? -
@helsten2 Click the right-pointing arrow to expand the tab stack.
-
@pesala: Yes, I have done that (all of them).
... and Pinned Tab Stacks are not there (I also checked in Closed Tabs) -
Is it me or is the 1 pixel gab between the top of Vivaldi window and tabs has gotten larger?
I can see a near 5 pixel gap which is making the tab bar weird...
-
@neltherion Did you recently enable Tab Stacking?
-
@pesala Pinned tab stacks do not show in F2 or the Window Panel. Long known. I'm going to bet the pinned stack you show is not actually pinned.
-
@ayespy How much are you going to bet? (~_~)
Both the Tiled and Stacked and Stacked Tabs are actually pinned.
- I opened three pages from my domain
- I create a Tab Stack from them
- I selected all three from the Tab Bar
- I pinned them all at once with my shortcut (Shift+P)
The Tabs are all listed in Quick Commands, and their pinned status is indicated in the Window Panel.
-
@pesala Can't imagine how you get it. Doesn't work here.
-
@pesala Your view is not even the same as mine. Individual pins do not show here - just a single pin at the top of the category. Is that even the Vivaldi Window Panel, or are you using something like the Tree View Extension? I guarantee you that, as-written, what you are showing there is not a trait of Vivaldi as-written. At least, not in Win10.
-
@pesala Here, I have three pinned stacks comprising 7 total tabs, and the tabs in them are four Vivaldi sites and three GMail accounts (not calendar or contacts - mail). Here is what my Window Panel looks like in all five of my Vivaldi installations:
(that "all messages" tab is not GMail - It's M3.
-
@ayespy You may be using Vivaldi 1.15. This thread is about the Snapshot build. Whatever, the screen shots tell the whole story.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit •Snapshot 1.16.1170.3 (64-bit)
-
@pesala Here is my panel in the Snapshot - 1.16.1170.3, with the same pinned stacks as in the internal version.
-
@pesala The view you are showing is not available here. You're in Win10, yes?
-
The hanging focus issue is even worse in this snapshot than it is in the stable, which is intermittent at best. This was not an issue for me prior to the 1.15 branch
-
@pesala I have tried tiling these stacks as well, to see if the Window Panel view changed, and it did not. Something exceptional appears to be going on with your install.

Pinned Tab Stacks are missing from the Window function in the Web Panel (and it has been like this for a few snapshots)
Win10x64 Vx64
I do not know if I understand very well, but here it is working. Image

Glad the duplicating notes issue I submitted was fixed. I know it wasn't a common problem, but once those notes started multiplying like rabbits it quickly became a killer!
-
@helsten2 If you do this:
...then you get this:
This has worked fine for me for several months [or however long it's been since we got this feature (not a bug)].

Sorry, disagree. Has worked fine for me for yonks. See my earlier reply https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/209090
PS: In both my Linux & Win10 V's.
