Drop-down bookmarks menu button on the Address Bar
-
@Pesala I have no intentions of using the horizontal menu. I hate screen clutter. It's one of the first things I disable on a browser. I have been using Vivaldi for maybe a year now. I have been using the menu>Bookmarks method. Would just be nice to remove the extra mouse gesturing, and all. It's a small, but meaningful difference to navigate the UI.
I have seen there are JS/CSS methods to add one. I may look into that. It's just strange with the level of customization Vivaldi has it doesn't have a basic bookmark button.

@Dead4Me What extra mouse gesturing do you need to use?
Alt+B brings up the Bookmarks Menu for me, both in the unmodified Stable build, and in the Snapshot version.
Surely, adding a button would require extra mouse gesturing to click the button?

I am just meaning from clicking the menu button, and then moving the cursor to the bookmarks menu to expand it. Also using Alt+B the bookmark menu renders the bookmark menu under the main menu I just noticed... So there is a bug there apparently.
I just like not having to touch the keyboard if not needing to type. I am not huge on shortcut keys unless it's something that has to be done that way. It's all personal preference really. I just want to click a simple button for bookmarks as I always have after moving to Vivaldi.

I am waiting for the drop-down bookmarks menu button since 2018..
