Vivaldi for Linux ARM, including the Raspberry Pi
-
I just started learning programming, so I don't know if my entry is eligible. But I would really like to get my hands on the Pi and experiment with it. When I get better at it, I would like to make home monitoring device. Also with some kind of vpn, so I can not only check it from anywhere, but also access my files (kind of personal cloud and monitoring).

My plan with the RaspBerry is
dominate the world ...
I would learn developler in a Raspe . -
Many thanks to make Vivaldi browser available on Raspberry !!
I am running VIvaldi on a Pi3 with Rasbian Stretch and the performance is very very well. The only problem i see is with video playback, Twitch, Youtube live streams are not working.
-
My plan for the next Pi project... I'll do all the work on Earth and no one will have to do anything anymore.
-

I plan to use RPi to turn my ordinary USB printer into network printer. RPi shouldn't serve only as a CUPS sever. It should also power the printer on when new job comes, but also turn it off when there are no more jobs.
I was also thinking about fixing (hacking) my fridge which turned into a freezer but Arduino will be better suited for that
-
I'd build a hand held retro gaming system, and use Vivaldi to surf the web between my nostalgia fits.
-
Our TV would be considered old now, but still has good screen, it is just not "smart". I would replace crappy players and recorders which are connected to it and make it "smart" with RasPi. I would rip out the harddisk out of the recorder, buy USB to SATA converter and attach it for a little server. Nothing too crazy I know, but at least I could use my favorite browser, now even with synced bookmarks, notes and settings!
-
I'm happy to see Vivaldi grow & expand its reach across platforms. Sync is here, now on Pi/ARM & next mobile.
I've always wanted a Pi to bring all the 80's retro goodness with me wherever I go but knowing the tinkerer in me, it would be just my technical "rubik cube" on the go. It would also give some of my old smartphones a break from the tinkering table ^_^
With that said, very cool Vivaldi swag, specially the Pi case
-
My next Pi project would be a media center.
-
@reddwarfff Best idea so far ^^
-
I would like to make a space probe - that would transmit to the whole
worlduniverse how great Vivaldi browser is -
Despite right now I'm don't know too much about Arduino, I would like to enable an Arduino Plant Watering System for my "work in progress" terrace while use Vivaldi to browse the net on the Tv.
xD

Project name: Christmas tree. Build automation lights chain on Christmas tree connected with Spotify also.
-
I'd provide a Solar Panel power supply along with it at a popular and nearby Geo Caching location and ask people to leave something personal and indeed digital on it. I'm sure some geeks will do something awesome with it. Love that idea

You mean besides showing my love for Vivaldi to the world?
I will probably try to adapt an old phone to function as a screen for it, and then mash everything inside a plushy bear so that I can show children that one can do wonderful macabre stuff with technology if one is motivated enough. Oh, and use the computer bear to finally have a mobile work routine, living in Mexico the crime rates are quite high, and it can be dangerous to carry a laptop around; I hope burglars wont be interested in stealing a plushy bear (and if they do, hopefully they check Vivaldi out after seeing the custom case, maybe it'll help them turn they life around). -
Pi-hole, web/email server, media backend or frontend, whatever I can play with...so many options.
-
Thanks for the ARM-build! Maybe my next rPI-project will be [chromeless/phantomjs/electron/vivaldi] to work like display of sensors' data or live webcam broadcasting (HTTP Live Streaming /HLS)

This should be a good way to discover the mini PC taste raspberry! As a high school student, why not a Raspberry Pi to have all the features of a PC in his backpack! And when I do not have a class, I play with it... or maybe I'll need him to work on Vivaldi or a word processor ...)
I have never had a Raspberry Pi! It must be great to have one!In addition, it's good, I just finished an article on the Raspberry Pi with the newspaper of my high school. I can surely complete it... http://bit.ly/2j1uaq2 (it's in french, of course !)
Or also manage Philips Hue lamps !Yes I am French, not really good in English, but no worries... The (bad) translators still help me well!
oh wait... -
Never trying Raspberry Pi before. If i have one, i would like to try Vivaldi ARM and also try to install openSUSE ARM on RasPi 3.
