Vivaldi is not selecting prompt value
-
In Opera 12 (and in all other Windows browser I have tested just before writing this), the value of a JavaScript prompt is selected.
Not in Vivaldi, which makes me loose much time…- Go to any page (not just a blank tab)
- Paste
javascript:void(prompt("toto", "this should be selected"));
in the address bar and press the Enter key
The default value text (this should be selected) should be selected but it is not.
-
https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/ → VB-36120.

Sorry for the question, but why should this text be selected? Is this something web browsers should do? (and why the second value?) Is this a feature of Vivaldi?
Or should this be more of a feature request? (Why...?)

Ah, so I misunderstood. Didn't understand why it should select anything on pasting in the address field...
Forget everything after... er... "sorry"

Hello @Gwen-Dragon,
What is the status, in your bug tracker, of VB-35483 “Javascript prompt input field has no selected content”?
Because prompt value is still not selected. -
@Gwen-Dragon Great!
I’ll wait to see it in the next stable version. -
@Gwen-Dragon I’m so glad, this is fixed, indeed!!
